What was the defining moment that made you think, “Huh… I should just make music for a living? We were blown away by his raw power and energy, and when Gregg Cash came into the picture we knew they’d play well off one another. Around the same time “After Midnight” was born we were serendipitously introduced to Zac Morris, our drummer, and asked him to come jam with us. We had no preconceived notion of what our material should be, we just wanted to make music. Mark Jackson and I started writing a while back with our producer Ian Scott. I am Dorothy and I sing and write for the band “DOROTHY” We caught up with Dorothy before rolling out to the desert to learn more about the fruition of the band, and the unconventional struggles of tour-life. The final two episodes of the series will premiere next Thursday, July 22 on NBC. The Universal Television production revolves around three suburban moms who orchestrate a local grocery store heist to escape financial ruin and establish independence. Good Girls is created by Jenna Bans and stars Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman, Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett, Isaiah Stannard and Matthew Lillard.
The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 23 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third and fourth season composed by Drum & Lace ( Dickinson, The First Monday in May, Deadly Illusions) and Ian Hultquist ( Assassination Nation, Animals A-X-L). Lakeshore Records will release the first-ever soundtrack album for the NBC comedy drama Good Girls.
